Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) star Xia Brookside was recently baptized, a decision she says marks a “new chapter” in her life.

“A new chapter,” Brookside, whose real name is Xia-Louise Brooks, wrote on Instagram alongside a video of her baptism. “Something I’ve been considering for a very long time, after getting consistent in going to church weekly, reading daily and the incredible support from my man, it felt like the easiest decision I’ve ever made. Thank you to everyone that came to support me.”

Brookside isn’t the only wrestler who has embraced Christ.

Roman Reigns, a WWE superstar, talked about his faith after he stepped away from wrestling because he was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2018.

“I am probably going to say this a lot, but I am going to start out by saying thank you,” he told the crowd when he returned to the ring in 2019. “I miss y’all…There is no other job like this. There is no other fanbase like you guys.”

He thanked his fans for their support and messages, adding “The amount of thoughts, the number of blessings, the amount of prayers that you sent my way is completely overwhelming and God-sent. Thank you so much.”

“It was everyone: people who liked me and people who didn’t like me. Everyone was at my aid and everyone was surrounding me with their love and support,” the WWE superstar continued. “I am telling you that so many people prayed for me that God’s voicemail was full…to the max.”

“I truly believe [God] was in His head thinking, ‘Man, what is going on down there? All for this one guy? All these people?’” he added. “That was the magnitude. That was how strong it was to be surrounded by y’all’s love and y’all’s grace. To be able to feel that, the strength that you gave me, I can do anything with that type of strength and love.”

Another wrestler who is outspoken about her faith is WWE star Nia Jax, whose real name is Lina Fanene.

She was baptized at her home church in Orlando, Florida, in 2024.

“Thank you, Jesus,” the wrestler wrote in the caption of the post showing the moment.

Praise God for Brookside’s decision to follow Christ! We pray that many other athletes also commit their lives to the Lord.
