Tubi will offer live F1 altcasts in 2026 for free thanks to a new deal with Apple TV.

Apple just established a five-year partnership with the racing league. The altcasts will air in the 2026 Formula 1 season. They will feature racing experts who will offer insight and commentary, Variety reported.

Tubi will also implement interactive ad formats. One format involves an interactive overlay over “pause adds” which will provide details about what a viewer may be seeing. This gives advertisers cues to deliver ads that play off what’s on screen when viewers pause content.

Another format lets advertisers expand the “pause” functionality with polls, trivia and carousels.

Its feature, Connected Conversions, will connect CTV to mobile that will link ads viewers see on TV to their phone so they can further engage or make purchases from their mobile devices.

“With massive scale, original and exclusive programming on the pulse of culture, and industry-leading investments in ad tech, precision and measurement, we are helping advertisers achieve greater reach, relevance and efficiency at a time when they need it most,” Anjali Sud, CEO of Tubi, said.

Tubi is also introducing a FIFA World Cup Fox Hub and will simulcast two games this summer. YouTube creators will also offer insight and commentary. These moves are part of the company’s overall plan to blend sports with creator-led programs, Sports Video said.

Tubi will also add two new originals, GAME ON and REMEMBER ME, in an effort to reach Gen Z audiences, Deadline added.

Tubi’s description of REMEMBER ME says, “In this YA supernatural murder-mystery, Shari Cooper is dead. Like, fell from the top of a high-rise to the street below, dead. And one of her friends — is her killer.”

“Now she has to solve her own murder from beyond the grave, before the relentless, soul-sucking Shadow that’s stalking her gets to her first,” it continues. The series already wrapped production and stars Brec Bassinger and Charlie Gillespie.

“Tubi has become a destination for YA audiences seeking relatable stories, compelling themes and character-driven storytelling brought to life by dynamic talent like Brec and Charlie,” Adam Lewinson, the chief content officer of Tubi, said in a statement. “Christopher Pike’s ‘Remember Me’ became a rite of passage for a generation — a twisty, supernatural thriller that readers never forgot — and we’re excited to reimagine it for today’s audience.”

It seems like Tubi is fighting to become a culturally relevant streaming destination in 2026, and it might just succeed.
