For Amanda Jenkins, putting together THE CHOSEN’s Bible study series is a “life blessing.”
“We look at the scripts, and we choose the themes and we move from there,” she told Movieguide® of how the study, titled “The Stronghold of the Chosen,” is created.
Jenkins shared that the idea for the project came “all the way back in Season 1” and has now become a very popular series for viewers who want to know more about scripture.
“We don’t want people to ultimately land on the show,” Jenkins said. “We want them to land in scripture.”

She also shared that her favorite compliment she’s received for THE CHOSEN Bible study series is that they’ve made the Bible more accessible.
“The idea that we get to be a part of somebody’s journey into knowing and loving scripture more — I mean, that’s just a life blessing for me,” Jenkins shared.
In a conversation with ChurchLeaders, she explained that the Bible study started as “content for me before it was content for readers, because it was something I really needed to understand more and to go through,” adding that it helped her go deeper into Jesus’ “qualities, character, promises and goodness.”
“I’m so thankful I was a student before we passed it on to others,” Jenkins added.
She also had a message for anyone who might be interested in learning more about scripture but is unsure of how or where to start.
Does THE CHOSEN inspire people to turn to Scripture?
“There is no right way. There is no one way,” Jenkins said, adding, “I love our Bible studies, and I think that they’re accessible for people, time-wise and content-wise.”
In a 2024 appearance on the “That Sounds Fun” podcast, she shared, “I’m thrilled with where we are, in the sense of people being changed by it. It just doesn’t seem to stop, and people will say, ‘I know you’re so sick of hearing these stories,’ and I’m like, no! It’s fuel, and it is exciting…seeing more people being exposed to the Gospel for the first time or coming back to the church or whatever — it never gets old, and I’m thrilled about it.”
This isn’t the only devotional project linked to THE CHOSEN. The show recently partnered with Glorify, a daily devotional app, for a three-part series that “spans key seasons of the year to bring fresh devotionals, interviews and guided reflections,” per Variety.
It will conclude in January, “inviting a fresh start anchored in light, hope, and purpose for 2026.”
“One of my favorite things about this partnership is that it got me using Glorify every day, and it’s terrific,” THE CHOSEN’s creator, Dallas Jenkins, said. “This is a perfect fit for those who want to go deeper into the stories we’re portraying in the show.”
“The Stronghold of the Chosen: An Interactive Bible Study Season 5” is now available to purchase.
