Madi Prewett Troutt chooses bold faith every day and shares why she sticks to her convictions even though it’s very difficult.

“I look back to who I was four or five years ago and I don’t even recognize her,” she said in a recent interview with Relevant Magazine. “Every day when you journey with the Holy Spirit is an opportunity to see how much you need Him.”

Her convictions grew after marriage, when she joined a community group that helped her grow.

“Those people had full access to our life,” Troutt said of her church family. “They had permission to call us higher.”

She’s immersed herself in scripture and memorized entire passages.

“Scripture has corrected me and encouraged me,” she explained. “It has shaped every part of my life.”

Troutt wants to share the love of the Gospel with Gen Z.

“They’re hungry,” she emphasized, adding, “Hungry for hope and hungry for truth. With AI and social media and everything happening, it’s hard to know what is real. But this generation wants something that lasts.”

To find that, they need to start with scripture.

“You never graduate from choosing truth,” she declared. “You have to choose real freedom each day.”

The former BACHELOR star tells college students, “If you surround yourself with friends who are living a life of compromise, that affects you. If you surround yourself with people who turn to Scripture for identity and purpose, that affects you too.”

Her faith is so intertwined in her being that she makes no decisions without the Holy Spirit.

“I don’t want it if it’s not of God,” she explained. “I don’t want it if He doesn’t go with me.”

That includes her approach to writing.

“It starts with a conviction. A passion to get a certain theme or message out there and then build around that,” The Love Everybody Wants author said.

“How do I want to back this up? What’s the research, the Scripture? Then once I have a really good foundation, I start to build my story into it and include practical next steps. But it’s always something that God has laid on my heart that I feel compelled to share with people,” she told Wacoan.

She looks to Acts 20:24 to shape her identity.

It says, “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me — the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”

“THAT is our why,” she wrote in her blog. “That is why we stand firm in our convictions under pressure. That should be the driving force behind all that we do.”

Troutt regularly shares about her faith and conviction on her “Stay True” podcast. New episodes are out every Monday.
