The documentary’s logline reads, “From awe-inspiring wonders to God’s silence in times of suffering, this documentary takes audiences on a remarkable journey. Through stories of people who claim have experienced the impossible, and experts who cross-examine the evidence, the film challenges skeptics, inspires seekers, and shows that the search for answers can transform us.”
The documentary displays scientific evidence of miracles, including research from a Mozambique university team who examined those healed from blindness and deafness, and several testimonies, Church Leaders reported.
A key point in the movie is that Strobel answers the question, “Does God still perform miracles today?” The answer is yes, and that’s proven through research and testimonies.
“This is solid stuff and how do you account for that? Unless you say, look, miracles are impossible. Now, give me the evidence, which I don’t think is a good way to investigate things,” Strobel said. “I think the only rational explanation to that is that God did intervene supernaturally in that case.”
It’s like Sherlock Holmes says, “When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.”
“In a world where many people hunger for the supernatural, the question is not whether miracles matter, but whether they stand up to honest investigation,” Strobel said. “In Scripture, the blind see, the lame walk, and even the dead rise. And, remarkably, the evidence shows that the miraculous has not stopped. Miracles continue to happen among us today.”
The movie’s director, Mani Sandoval, says the documentary highlights medical cases in a way that’s credible and “deeply human.”
“Our hope is that audiences leave the theater lighter than when they arrived, carrying with them a renewed sense of possibility, where moments of wonder and grace are still unfolding in our world today,” Sandoval said.
