YouTube Sensation Gives Channel to God: ‘Abraham-Isaac Moment’

By Movieguide® Contributor

YouTube sensation Chris Garcia knew God called him to create videos on the platform, but when God asked him to give it up, he trusted His plan.

“I knew that God had called me to do YouTube. I just didn’t really feel like I was hitting exactly what I felt the Lord was wanting me to do. And I was doing everything that I could [to the] best of my ability. And about two years ago, the Lord kept convicting my heart to let go of the whole YouTube channel,” Garcia told Charisma Media in an exclusive interview.

Garcia felt he needed to completely surrender his plans before the Lord.

“I was bewildered and confused about it,” he explained. “But I know the voice of the Spirit. And so I said, ‘Okay, I’m going to do that.’ Well, the day that I decided, I told the Lord God, ‘I’m going to go, and I’m going to deactivate the channel.’”

The Lord responded to Garcia in a dream.

He continued, “And He said, ‘Good. Now it’s Mine.’ It’s kind of like the Abraham-Isaac moment. He says, ‘Now that it’s Mine; here’s what I want you to do. I want you to live stream in front of the camera and worship My presence and spend time with Me and say absolutely nothing.’”

The moment of total surrender came to fruition during a YouTube livestream. During the intentional moment of full devotion to God, Garcia told God, “This channel is for you.”

As the channel began to grow, God gave his wife a message to share.

“She gave the prophetic word about a great shaking coming and how this shaking was going to really sift our intentions and motives in the church and she saw the church as the body of Christ,” Garcia expressed. “The next thing you know it’s like at 17,000 views…within four days, it went viral and where it said 1.5 million views. The only thing that I can attribute that to is it’s a sovereign word of the Lord. It’s a sovereign thing I could not make that happen.”

His YouTube channel, Fresh Oil, now has over 85 thousand subscribers, and the creator uploads videos Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

In addition to the channel, Garcia led a conference, also called Fresh Oil.

He shared on Instagram, “I’m beyond shocked to see the amount of people who are coming for FRESH OIL OUTPOURING ’23.”

“725 of you said yes to the call to join us. Hungry people for God’s presence will be flooding our city of Fort Smith, Arkansas for ONE PURPOSE; to exalt the Glory of the Lord,” Garcia continued. “If you’re hungry, come! I’m calling on all my pastor friends and their congregations to join us. Not only do I believe that many people will be impacted by the glory of the Lord, but I also believe that our city will be shaken by God’s presence. It’s not too late to join we have 300 more open seats!”
