7 days ago this man’s life was taken in the most inhumane way. Period. It can only be described as PURE Human Evil, void of any mercy or compassion. As a Christian I have been in shock at what our world is.. I don’t say what our world has “become” because it’s always been like this, sitting below the surface, but now it’s more visible, better documented and spread faster then ever before. Black lives matter George Floyd’s life mattered Ahmaud Arbery’s life mattered. And the countless unnamed victims who’s deaths haven’t been horrific enough to go viral, their lives mattered also. I have seen Los Angeles a city I called home for 10 years burn on the television while I’m back home taking care of my family. I have watched in horror as the United States a country that took me in, is being crippled by hate. I have actually come to hate social media. I Hate that everyone needs to weigh in on everything immediately as if we are just programmed robots. Void of feelings, void of pain, just billboards for the mob, targets for the Godless and self righteous. Like I said I’m a Christian, a follower of Jesus. People somehow forget that Jesus was “the” innocent man who was killed at the hands of human evil. Here you see God’s love and man’s evil clash in a single moment within human history. This is what I choose to share in the face of our world’s consistent hate & prejudice. People want me to use my voice, but don’t want to listen to my message. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. WE LOVE, BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US. If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.
