Kel Mitchell’s kids are his biggest fans.
While at the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards, Mitchell revealed that his kids’ friends ask for him when they come over.
“Oh yeah, they know instantly, or it’s GAME SHAKERS, because I play Double G in that. And they’ll ask me to do a lot of that stuff too, as well,” the actor said.
“They love it. They cracked up. They’re like my biggest fans,” he said of his kids.
Mitchell told PEOPLE that his kids, Honor, 4, and Wisdom, 7, got the opportunity to cameo in their dad’s GOOD BURGER sequel, GOOD BURGER 2.
“Well, you know what? It was for fun because they just enjoyed it and wowed the producers. You know what I mean?” the KENAN & KEL star revealed. “So it was for fun, but if they want to continue to do it, I’ll support them, but they got to want to do it.”
He’s also dad to daughter Allure, 23, and son Lyric, 26, whom he shares with ex-wife Tyisha Hampton.
Mitchell’s advice for his kids? To “have a good sense of self and faith.”
“And then they have a dad who has been through it, so he can actually help them out through it all. But they got to love it,” he continued.
Since his time with Nickelodeon, Mitchell became a pastor.

“I’ve always known God,” Mitchell told Fox News Digital in 2022. “Grew up in a church, but there’s a difference between knowing God and having a relationship with God. And I just got to a point in my life where I wanted to make sure that He was in everything that I do.”
“He gives me this joy that I have every morning when I spend time with Him,” he said of his relationship with God. “When I got the call to be a youth pastor, God spoke to me so clearly in my time of prayer. And I said, ‘Yo, I’m going to do it. I’m going to do it.’ He’s been there for me. And I want others to feel this joy and to feel this peace. We want people to live. We want people to enjoy life. And I’m all about that.”
He serves as a youth pastor at the Spirit Food Christian Center in Winnetka, California, and helps the church host fun events to get kids excited about their faith.

Regardless of what endeavors Mitchell may pursue or partnerships he may have, nothing comes before his faith or family.
