At Movieguide, we are looking for people who want to pour out their lives in redeeming the values of the mass media of entertainment, teaching people to be media-wise and reaching the lost. Through hands-on experience, you will receive the necessary tools to be an effective minister of the Gospel, develop a Christ-like character and understand the importance of servanthood.
The intern program also provides the opportunity to be trained in many application skills, including: writing, reviewing, administration, fundraising, event coordination, video production, computer graphics, website design, and so much more.
Internship Opportunities
Days and Hours – Either MWF or TR
June through August 2012 (can be flexible)
Editorial intern:
Writing, editing, proofreading press releases, reviews, articles, fundraising letters on MS Word; making phone calls to Hollywood studios and reviewers; filing; faxing; emailing.
Television and Radio production intern:
Helping with production of TV and Radio shows. This means helping shoot and edit for the more technically minded; and for the on camera person that means going to premieres and helping with red carpet interviews of the stars as well as man on the street interviews.
Marketing & Advertising intern:
Working on every stage of marketing and advertising, including sales.
Development intern:
Research prospective corporate, foundation and individual donors. Develop cause concepts for direct mail campaigns. Track and organize our traditional giving programs. Stay on top of cross-departmental communication about specific donors, donation issues, tax receipts and refunding donations. Handle general donor support, working closely with our Development Director to make sure all communication with donors is stream-lined and consistent with our brand and mission.
Web Design intern:
Updating web content and websites. This person has incredible amounts of creative flexibility to show their talent on the mass stage for a well-known brand.
Graphic Design intern:
Designing monthly newsletters, magazine pages, websites, fundraising letters, brochures, promotional materials, media kits, ad kits, titles for TV shows.
