LATE MARRIAGE

What You Need To Know:

The Israeli romantic comedy LATE MARRIAGE tells the story of 31-year old bachelor named Zaza, whose parents are trying to marry him off. A handsome, soon-to-be doctor has seen many girls (all arranged by his parents), but none seem to catch his fancy. Later, the movie reveals that he is in a relationship with a Moroccan divorcee with a 6-year old child. He eventually breaks it off with her and marries an unknown woman at the end, confusing the audience.

This is one of the poorest quality movies reviewed this year. The pacing is painfully slow, the entire 96 minutes could be done in a tenth of the time. There are a lot of references to God, but all of them are flippant. Witchcraft is used for casting a control spell, and a love charm is used to help love along. However, the most offensive part of the movie is the 20 minute plus graphic sex scene between Zaza and the divorcee, which features full nudity for both of them. This scene, COMPLETELY useless and gratuitous, only sidetracks an already lousy plot. LATE MARRIAGE proves that manure by any other name is still manure

Content:

(RoRoRo, H, O, LL, V, SSS, NNN, A, D, MM) Very strong Romantic worldview with hedonistic elements, with a humanist and materialistic attitude toward life and witchcraft discussed and used by woman to cast a love/control spell and use of love charm, and talk of God, but irreverently; 25 obscenities, no profanities, 12 vulgarities, and lots of sex talk; light violence including slapping and destruction of property; child born out of wedlock, seduction between 31-year old man and 17-year old girl (no sex), graphic, extended sex scene (20 minutes plus) including fornication, mutual masturbation, cunnilingus, and man kisses father’s crotch; racy fashion sketches, full male and female nudity, including genitals; light alcohol use and smoking; and, lying, deception and manipulation.

This is one of the poorest quality movies reviewed this year. The pacing is painfully slow, the entire 96 minutes could be done in a tenth of the time. There are a lot of references to God, but all of them are flippant. Although it is condemned by God in Deuteronomy, witchcraft is used for casting a control spell, and a love charm is used to help love along. However, the most offensive part of the movie is the 20 minute plus graphic sex scene between Zaza and the divorcee, which features full nudity for both of them.
