Danny Gokey asked for prayer for his nose after he got knocked into while playing basketball, and was able to give a praise report shortly thereafter.

“If you have a moment please say a prayer for me. That this heals quickly and that it doesn’t affect my singing and touring. Those are things I love to do 🫶🏼🙏🏼” Gokey shared in a post Monday.

“I think I broke my nose. Got hit with a shoulder trying to guard someone. I’m hoping it’s not broken but it really hurts,” he shared, showing his gauzed bloody nose.

He also added that he’s on tour, and he needs his nose to sing.

“I don’t want to sound like… this for sure,” he said in the video.

He gave an update on Monday, sporting a swollen black eye.

“Never come up to me and tell me that Santa Claus is the main of Christmas when we all know—me and all my homies know—that it’s all about Jesus. Because thems fighting words. Anyways… the tour is back on. Christmas is happening,” he said. “Not a broken nose!”

The tour “is not cancelled. You’re just gonna see me with a big ole black eye… but I’m just so grateful that my nose is not broken. Now I don’t know if it’s crooked,” he added.

Many fans commented that they had prayed for him and shared in his happiness that his nose is okay.

“I now feel affirmed in my decision not to play ball last tour😂,” said artist Colton Dixon. “Glad you’re ok Danny!”

“PRAISE GOD 🙌🙌🙌” someone else commented.

“Oh Praise God! This is wonderful news Danny!! We serve a miraculous awesome God! Amen! Give Him the glory!!” another fan said.

In another video on Tuesday, Gokey again credited God for saving his nose.

“Listen, when you get hit like that, you tend to think like… everyone’s like ‘Woah, you’re broken. Get to the hospital.’ It wasn’t, so I’m grateful,” Gokey said.

Gokey is currently on his Celebrate Christmas tour with Natalie Grant. His next concert is on Dec. 11, so that gives him just a little time to heal from his massive bruise.

Gokey said earlier this month after his concert in Florida, “It’s truly the favorite tour we do each year, and this one feels EXTRA special with it being the 10th annual 🎉 Thanks to everyone who came out in Clearwater ~ you guys were amazing, and we can’t wait to see the rest of you as we continue celebrating all the joy & wonder that this season brings! 🎄✨🎁”

His tour ends on Dec. 21.
