Even celebrities deal with the day-to-day tasks such as what to pack for their children’s school lunch, and actress Lacey Chabert is no different.

Chabert revealed that her and husband David Nehdar have worked out a morning routine to make sure their daughter Julia, 9, is ready for her day.

“We make school lunch every day. My husband and I take turns. He’ll make breakfast if I make lunch,” she told People.

She admitted that she had a menu plan made at the beginning of the year, but soon “went out the window,” and breakfast sometimes consists of something simple like yogurt or cereal, and other times something more involved.

“I don’t have time to make a homemade spread every morning, but I love when I do,” the CHRISTIAN MINGLE star added.

Mornings are usually TV-free the 43-year-old revealed so they can discuss plans for the rest of the day.

“As a treat, sometimes I’ll say, ‘After school, you can have a ‘yes’ day.’ I’ll let her pick what we do for the afternoon. And that’s always a fun and special treat for us to look forward to,” Chabert said.

But before the “real routine starts” she begins her morning with a cup of joe.

“I jump out of bed and run to the coffee machine. My favorite luxury is to make a cup and get back in bed and drink it… Often I’ll say a quick prayer to set my thoughts in a positive place. But the coffee moment is all of five minutes,” she divulged.

As far as her and husband, who have been married for 10 years, Chabert shared with Swooon what makes their union work.

“It really is the little things, and then, of course, romantic gestures are always welcome and always wonderful …and marriage is just knowing that we see each other,” she said. “It’s feeling acknowledged and feeling appreciated and just feeling that love. It so genuine. I’m so grateful for it.”

The dubbed “Queen of Hallmark” recently starred in her 43rd movie with the network, SHE’S MAKING A LIST, reuniting with costar Andrew Walker. Chabert plays a consultant for Santa who helps determine whose naughty or nice, but things get complicated when her character Isabel falls in love with widow Jason (Walker) whose precocious daughter Charlie, according to the rules, would fall on the naughty list.

So how early is it to hang up those Christmas decorations according to Chabert, who starred in 15 holiday movies with Hallmark and launched a Lacey Chabert Collection that specializes in Christmas décor and settings.

According to an Instagram video you can never start too early.

In a recent post daughter Julia narrates a video showing the A MERRY SCOTTISH CHRISTMAS star decorating an outdoor tree with oversized ornaments.

“I found my mom outside setting up Christmas ornaments before it’s even Halloween; it’s her happy place,” Julia complained. “There’s even a Christmas tree inside now, and it’s not even Halloween or November, but don’t say that, or else she’s gonna get mad.”

“But at least we still have a spider and a pumpkin in the tree.” she continued. “She won’t ruin that, I don’t think. She’s nice.”

Much to the child’s dismay, Chabert is seen, right after, pulling the decorative spider off the tree and tossing it to the ground, followed by Julia yelling with perfect comedic timing, “Spider!”

While still at the sweet age “where she loves to cuddle” Chabert said, she posted that her daughter’s sassy side keeps her “humble.”
