Who are you living for? That is an important question that we all need to ask at one point or another and is one that Tim Tebow is taking time to reflect on.
In a recent post to Instagram, the Christian former football player and advocate said, “It can be easy to shape your life around applause. But God’s opinion matters most, fear fades, courage rises, and service flows.”
People in the comment section appreciated the reminder.

“This is probably the best question I’ll see today. God, for sure!!!” one person said. Another person added, “Always an important question to ask.”
Tebow’s entire career is based off of his love and faith in God. Recently, at a men’s event, Tebow said, “What does it mean to be a man? It means I gotta grit my teeth, I gotta be strong, I gotta fight for it, I gotta be my best. And I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that, cause God can use it.”
He added, “And I look in this room and I see so many strengths… And I believe that God has uniquely created each one of you with those gifts and abilities, but my question is: Is it worth it to you to say, ‘hey God you gave me this and I’m going to use it for you?’
1 Peter 4:10-11 is a great example of what Tebow is trying to communicate on Instagram and while speaking. It says, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”
Tebow is an example to this by how he lives his own life. He uses his giftings to help and serve other through his organization The Tim Tebow Foundation which “exists to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.”
His foundation helps “the Most Vulnerable People in the world—the MVP” by focusing on “Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation, Orphan Care and Prevention, Profound Medical Needs, and Special Needs Ministry.”
Are you using the gifts and talents God had given you to live for him? Sometimes it can be intimidating, but once you step out, it is amazing to see how God can use you to bring light to this world.
