Tim Tebow is celebrating his recent induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.
“It’s hard to put into words how incredibly grateful and humbled I am by this incredible honor,” he captioned an Instagram post.
Tebow continued, “There’s so much that I’ll remember and cherish from my four years at Florida…The relationships, the incredible fans of Gator Nation, the moments, and the unity in giving everything you have alongside amazing teammates from so many different backgrounds to chase after that one dream, vision, and goal.”
“Along the way, through the ups and the downs, so many friendships were built. And it will always be special to me. I’m grateful I get to still be a part of this game that I love, there just isn’t much like college football… it’s special,” he wrote. “Congratulations to all of the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame inductees, it was an honor to share the stage with you!”
In a statement about his induction, Tebow called it “humbling.”
“It also represents the incredible young men that I got to play with because the special thing about football is that it’s never just about you,” he continued. “It is about the band of brothers that you get to play with, train with, work with, sweat with, create a vision and a goal and strive for that. I wouldn’t be here without their talent, their hard posture, their skillset, and also the relationships, the camaraderie and the brotherhood. It means a lot to me for that and it also means a lot to me for the coaches that I got to play for.”
Another Denver Broncos star who was inducted alongside Tebow? Former coach Bill Kollar.
“Football’s been really good to me and my family,” Kollar said. “Really happy I was able to make it as long as I have and have the career that I did.”
Now that he has retired from football, Tebow is dedicated to humanitarian efforts, including his fight to end human trafficking. Movieguide® previously reported:
Tim Tebow and his foundation are raising money to build the TTF Protection Center in Thailand as a place to protect up to forty girls rescued from human trafficking.
In a recent Instagram video, Tebow shared, “A few years ago, we deepened our fight in this terrible evil in the world of human trafficking and child exploitation. And in the last 365 days, we’re so excited to share with you that we have grown so much and been part of rescuing thousands and building safe homes in so many different countries.”
Movieguide® previously reported on the work Tebow’s foundation does to fight trafficking. “We’re in 67 countries and we’re building more hospitals right now and we’re building more special needs orphanages and villages and rescuing girls from trafficking. And, I just am so passionate about that.”
