Summer is now upon us, which means it’s time for family vacations. Taking road trips as a family is one of the best ways to spend the summer. Summer is also the time for festivals of all types, including film festivals. While you’re visiting all of the famous beaches, parks, monuments and museums across the United States, why not take some time to check out some of the Christian film festivals that are occurring this year. Whether you are traveling or staying close to home, a film festival is a great way to spend time with the family. Here is a list of the upcoming film festivals that you may want to check out this summer.
ICVM: International Christian Visual Media Catalyst Conference

Every year the ICVM Conference moves around the country to a new location. This year it’s being held in Orlando, Florida. The goal of the conference is to allow artists the opportunity to network with professionals in media communications. The goal of the organization is to bring the message of Christ to the world through media. This three-day conference has film screenings, networking opportunities as well as special seminars with amazing speakers.
The Narrow Way Film Festival

PPFF – The Pan Pacific Film Festival

With film at its focus, The Pan Pacific Film Festival showcases more than just movies. This festival showcases live music, talent shows, workshops, fashion shows and food along with screenings of the year’s selected submissions. The festival has been around since 2008 and is centered on movies that are inspirational and entertaining. The goal of the festival is to use media for good.
Great Lakes Christian Film Festival

This is the first year of the Great Lakes Christian Film Festival. The festival is being sponsored by D1 Media. The goal of this festival is to promote family based Christian filmmakers. Plants and Pillars Film Festival

The Plant and Pillars Film Festival is held annually in Birmingham, Alabama. This film festival is focused on encouraging the next generation of filmmakers, actors, writers and musicians through Christ. All of the submissions for this festival come from artists under the age of 19.
168 Film Project and Festival

The 168 Film Festival showcases films that are part of the 168 Film Project. The project challenge is for a filmmaker to choose a scripture and in just 168 hours (7 days) shoot and edit a short film. The goal of this project and festival is to encourage filmmakers to just go for it and make a movie. The movement has expanded worldwide and many submit films to the international category every year.
International Faith & Family Film Festival

The International Faith & Family Film Festival boasts sneak peeks at upcoming blockbusters, as well as expert panels and master class break out sessions. The biggest part of the festival, however, is the screening of upcoming faith based movies. CLIFF – Christian Life International Film Festival
