Why This Actress Believes God Has a Special Plan for Women

Christian actress and podcaster Shari Rigby believes that God is raising up women to spread the Gospel.

“We are to bring up the next generation,” she began a recent discussion on THE VISION SHOW. “Also a lot of us who are in other seasons of our life, God calls us all to, you know, to the kingdom to be used by Him and to tell stories.”

She went on to share how she thinks God has a special plan for women in this season.

“I believe that this is a season for God’s women,” Rigby continued. “I believe that He’s calling us. I believe He’s going to use our voices just like He did biblically, that He used so many women through the Old Testament and the New Testament. And I believe that this time, 2026 is going to be a new place for His women to stand, to be strong and courageous and to tackle new things and to speak into the generations below us.”

Rigby is correct. God wants us to share the truth of the Bible with those around us. 2 Timothy 4:2 says, “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction.”

The OVERCOMER star is passionate about helping women as she works to make faith-based movies.

Previously, she told Great American Journal, “God spoke to my heart, and He said, ‘You’re here for My women. What I realized was that God had called me to something much deeper and much bigger and it really was about serving others and serving those He called me to.”

“Now I mentor and I work with women…Every movie set, God gives me another woman,” she said. “I get to be an authentic voice…to never give up.”

She explored the topic more in a March Instagram post.

“There is something so powerful and magnificent sitting across from women who are boldly walking in their calling — storytellers, leaders, creatives, mothers, and more who are using their gifts to reflect faith, resilience, and truth in every space they step into,” Rigby wrote.

She added, “These are the women who are shaping culture, telling redemptive stories, and paving the way forward in the world and entertainment and media — women who are called as creatives…women who truly make my world a better place. And they don’t just inspire…they equip. 💪🏻”
