Usually when FIXER TO FABULOUS’s Jenny Marrs sees her little lambs every morning, they run to her, but when one day they didn’t, she felt proud that they didn’t need her anymore.
“This time, they simply looked up from their grazing, noticed me, then went back to their snack. I was like a proud mom taking this video — they have friends!” she wrote in a caption of a video of the lambs. “The other sheep had welcomed them into the fold, and they were content in the pasture.”
Marrs continued, “As I read Psalm 65 today, I was struck by verse 11: ‘You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.’
Earlier this year, the Marrs went through the terrible loss of one of their sheep and her four babies.

“I wondered if we would ever have little lambs again at the farm,” Marrs said. “Just a month later, our neighbor had orphaned twin lambs who needed care and I didn’t hesitate before taking them in. But, if I’m honest, I was guarded.”
Last year, Marrs cared for an orphaned lamb named Tommy. She was very attached to him, but he passed away.
“Over these past couple of months, Hazel and Walter have brought so much joy, laughter and peace to our little patch of land,” she said. “The abundance of these twin lambs is such a sweet, unexpected gift and a reminder that, just like Psalm 65:11 (NLT) states, hard pathways can and WILL overflow with abundance.”
“Maybe someone reading this is walking on a hard pathway right now and needs the reminder that the path won’t always be this way,” she wrote. “The verse just before states that God will soften the earth with showers (65:10). Softer earth is coming, friends. Keep hoping. 🤍”
In a post from May 5, Marrs thanked God for caring for her animals during a storm. When they couldn’t find their Great Pyrenees, they started looking for her in a panic. Eventually they found her right where she should be — in the pasture, protecting the sheep.
She had been asleep in their barn when they had called for her earlier.
“The relief I felt was palpable as I thanked God for protecting our animals,” Marrs said. “… She stayed put, and I truly believe it’s because she would never have left her adopted lamb babies. She knows Walter and Hazel depend on her for protection, and each night, they snuggle in close by her side to sleep.”
When Marrs welcomed the lambs on March 18, she wrote, “Today, we welcome Walter and Hazel to the farm with expectant hope for the joy they’ll bring despite the distinct possibility for sorrow. I prayed over these two as I drove them up the street to our home: May they stay safe and healthy and, most of all, thank you, Lord for new life, new mercies and fresh reminders that our hope is in you alone (Psalm 39:7)! 🤍”
May those precious little sheep have a great life on the Marrs family’s farm.
