JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINIUM to Re-Start Production Next Month
By Allyson Vannatta, Senior Writer
JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINIUM shut down production in March but is set to be one of the first major studio titles to start filming in the U.K. as restrictions ease.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Universal confirmed that pre-production will begin this week with filming to pick up on July 6 in Pinewood.
The production will adhere to a slew of safety regulations put in place by the U.K., the British Film Institute, and the British Film Commission. Universal also added their own health and safety protocols to follow.
Anyone flying to the U.K. for production will have to quarantine for two weeks before they’re able to be on set.
JURASSIC WORLD was previously nominated as one of the Ten Best Movies for Mature Audiences at the 2016 Movieguide® Awards.
JURASSIC WORLD just celebrated the movie’s five-year anniversary on June 12, with the movie that started it all, JURASSIC PARK, celebrating its 27-year anniversary the day before on June 11.
Other notable movies that were forced to halt production in the U.K. due to the coronavirus were THE BATMAN, Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID and Sony’s CINDERELLA live-action adaptations, and the third installment to FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM.
