Kanye West Cites Pro-Life, Pro-Prayer Policies in New Platform

Kanye West publicly proclaimed bold, biblical statements as he detailed his platform for a potential presidential run. Some of his key points were abortion and putting prayer back in schools.

“I am pro-life because I’m following the word of the Bible,” West said in an interview with Forbes magazine.

West previously said that black Americans were “brainwashed” into having abortions and that the black population in America was decreasing due to significant violence.

“We’re [black Americans] brainwashed out here, bro. Come on, man. This is a free man talking. Democrats had us voting [for] Democrats with food stamps for years,” West said.

“What are you talking about? Guns in the ’80s, taking the fathers out the home, Plan B, lowering our votes, making us abort our children … Thou shall not kill,” he said.

Yet it’s not just about abortion for West. He’s relying on biblical principles in multiple arenas, including in schools.

“Reinstate in God’s state, in God’s country, the fear and love of God in all schools and organizations and you chill the fear and love of everything else, so that was a plan by the Devil to have our kids committing suicide at an all-time high by removing God to have murders in Chicago at an all-time high because the human beings working for the Devil removed God and prayer from the schools. That means more drugs, more murders, more suicide.”

If America allows God to return in schools, West says, we could see an increase in the culture of life.

This is not the first time West has advocated to bring Christ back to the forefront of American life.

West began performing and sharing Gospel-based music and sermons in 2019 with the launch of his Sunday Services. In October, his Gospel album “Jesus Is King” and documentary by the same name dropped.

He began speaking in major churches, including Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, and at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church outside Atlanta, Georgia.

Each of these sermons included comments about uniting in Christ and the devil trying to destroy families, especially children.
