DeVon Franklin Secures Overall Deal with CBS TV Studios

Producer and outspoken Christian DeVon Franklin just signed an overall deal with CBS TV Studios.
The man of many talents shared the news on his Instagram writing, “I’m excited to create new opportunities for people of faith and people of color!”
“I believe #entertainment is one of the most powerful mediums in the world and we can use it to help shape hearts and minds for the better,” he added. “Now when you see the announcement of a deal, it’s the beginning of something, not the end. So now the real works begins, so please keep your prayers going up (I need them!) and I commit to doing my best to bring you the best shows I possibly can! 🙏🏾”
Several people of faith commented on Franklin’s post congratulating him.
Roma Downey offered kind words saying, “Congrats Devon amazing news ❤️”
Priscilla Shirer said, “WE’RE READY @devonfranklin 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽”
Terry Crews and his wife Rebecca both commented, “Congrats man!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” and “GO DEVON!!!!”
Finally, musician Cory Asbury said, “YESSIR!! Congrats!!!”
Franklin is the president and CEO of Franklin Entertainment production company.
According to Deadline, the company has a multi-year first-look deal with Paramount Pictures and a second-look deal with Netflix.
Most recently, Franklin produced BREAKTHROUGH, starring Chrissy Metz, Topher Grace and Josh Lucas.
The movie was nominated for several awards at last year’s Movieguide® Awards.
Other notable movies from Franklin that have been nominated at the Movieguide® Awards include MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN, starring Jennifer Gardner and animated feature THE STAR.
