Randy Quaid ‘Appalled’ Biden Called Him a ‘Neanderthal’

Actor Randy Quaid condemned President Joe Biden after he addressed Texas and Mississippi’s decision to cease coronavirus mandates as “Neanderthal thinking.”

The two states’ Republican governors were the first to announce a plan officially to no longer adhere to COVID-19 safety guidelines and regulations like mandated masks.

The Texas native, who is not shy about his conservative views and shares them in often eccentric ways on social media, took to Twitter to express his displeasure with Biden’s characterization.

“As a native Texan I am appalled our president has called me a Neanderthal. 23 And Me has verified that I have NO Neanderthal ancestry gene in my genetic code,” Quaid wrote. “This is not to say Neanderthal lives don’t matter, just sayin’ a lot of us Texans have grounds for a class action suit.”

President Biden deemed the decision to rollback mask mandates imprudent as vaccines rollout across the country.

“We’ve been able to move that all the way up to the end of May to have enough [vaccines] for every American, to get every adult American to get a shot,” Biden said at the White House. “The last thing we need is the Neanderthal thinking.”

Quaid also recently called out the Golden Globes, which saw its worst ratings in history this year. While the pandemic is undoubtedly to blame for some of the lower numbers, Quaid also claimed that the show alienates a large portion of the country.

“Lowest ratings in the history of the Globes. When is it going to sink in that being insultingly rude, looking down your nose at over half of America is not good for ratings or ticket sales, downloads or streaming subscriptions,” Quaid wrote on Twitter.

The actor also blasted Hollywood, adding: “Hollywood expects its audience to sit politely in their seats, masks on,1/2 capacity with socks in their mouths while being entertained by the very people who helped put those socks in their mouths. Hollywood’s elite have gone from being great artists to sad little hall monitors.”
