Kevin Sorbo Bashed for Joke About Starbucks, Gains Thousands of New Social Media Followers

By Movieguide® Staff

Actor Kevin Sorbo is candid about his conservative values in regards to mask mandates. The HERCULES actor shared a joke about Starbucks that earned him thousands of new followers on social media.

“I’m not proud of this but I just made a scene in public for the first time in my life. I walked into Starbucks and they asked me to put a mask on. I yelled this is BS. I turned around and walked out. I know what you’re thinking… My first mistake was walking into a Starbucks!” Sorbo tweeted.

Sorbo has had several run-ins with Facebook for censoring him based on his political views. Several news outlets bashed the GOD’S NOT DEAD actor for his tweet.

“The Left has nothing but anger and hate in their lives. They love destruction,” Sorbo told The Christian Post. “That was a joke that someone sent to me. I don’t even drink coffee, by the way. I find it so amazing that the Left is just the gift that keeps on giving. They look for things to be offended by all the time.”

However, due to the backlash, Sorbo said that he gained around 5,000 new followers.

“They have no sense of humor whatsoever,” Sorbo continued. “They hate me for being a capitalist, they hate me for loving America. They should all move to a lovely little utopia of communism and leave America alone.”

Although the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health recently reinstated mask mandates, LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said that the police would not enforce the regulation.

“Forcing the vaccinated and those who already contracted COVID-19 to wear masks indoors is not backed by science and contradicts the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines,” Villanueva said.

Sorbo was suspended from Facebook for posting similar statements.

Movieguide® previously reported on Sorbo’s suspension from Facebook:

Facebook responded to Kevin Sorbo after the Christian actor announced the company had deleted his account without explanation.

“We removed Kevin Sorbo’s Page for repeatedly sharing debunked claims about the coronavirus or vaccines,” a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement.

Facebook also claimed that they notified Sorbo’s account multiple times. According to their new policy, the company warned Sorbo that if he did not delete specific posts, they would delete his account.

Previously Sorbo said that Facebook did not explain the reason for his deleted account.

“I’ve been told absolutely nothing, I mean they’ve been shadow banning me for the last year telling me that they’re purposely only letting a select few people see the posts that I make,” Sorbo explained in a recent interview on FOX NEWS @ NIGHT. “And the posts that I make, I do a lot of humor and obviously Facebook doesn’t like humor because they don’t have anything to laugh about.”

Sorbo continued: “And then I post things from doctors saying ‘Hey check out the other side of the issue of COVID’ or ‘check out the other side of the issue of voter fraud’ and ‘what do you guys think?’ That’s pretty much what I post and that’s enough to make them get angry and take my account down, I don’t know. I’d love to get an answer, trust me.”

After Facebook deleted Sorbo’s account, he started a new account. However, per the social media site’s policy, that account was also deleted after five posts.

“FACEBOOK DID IT AGAIN!” Sorbo tweeted. “I created my new page about a week ago, and with roughly 5 total posts, it has been deleted. No politics, just a few funny posts my kids sent me. Censorship at its finest, spread the word!”
