Fans Takes Note of Mark Wahlberg’s Bold Faith: ‘These Days That’s Hard to Find’

Actor Mark Wahlberg recently turned heads with his outward expression of faith after the release of FATHER STU.

Wahlberg is candid about how his faith plays a significant role in his life and career and recently spoke about how he hopes that his four children find faith of their own.

“They think Dad’s crazy, and he’s boring,” Wahlberg told the Today show in April. “But even with my faith, I don’t force it on them. But they know that Dad can’t start the day without being in prayer, can’t start the day without reading my Scripture or going to Mass.”

“Hopefully, instead of forcing that on them, they’ll say, ‘Well, if it works for Dad, maybe it’ll work for us,'” Wahlberg added. “And they’ll kind of gravitate towards it on their own.”

Mark Wahlberg recently took to Instagram to celebrate his son Michael’s confirmation of his faith.

Wahlberg also posted a video to Instagram where he congratulated other young people who have gotten confirmed this year.

“Good morning from Europe,” Wahlberg said. “Just got down on my hands and knees to express my gratitude on this beautiful day. Congratulations to my son Michael on making his confirmation. All the young people out there who were confirmed and taking their relationship with the lord into their adulthood, what a commitment you guys have made.”

Many fans noticed how he champions his faith, leaving replies on Wahlberg’s social media like, “I love this as well. These days that’s hard to find.”

Wahlberg also believes in the power of prayer and encouraged people to investigate the Hollow app.

“I’ve been getting a lot of messages from people who have been praying every day and finding peace,” Wahlberg said.

While some questioned why FATHER STU contained heavy foul language despite its redemption and faith story, Wahlberg said he wanted to show reality.

“I’ve never been shy about sharing my past and the bad decisions I’ve made and being affiliated with gangs, being incarcerated,” Wahlberg said.” Absolutely, I think they can identify with me on a personal level, and that’s why I’ve continued to try to do as much as I can to help young people.”

Mark Wahlberg loves Jesus and he’s not afraid to tell his Hollywood colleagues about his faith.

“Look, I will not hide the fact that I love the Lord and I want to be committed to serving the Lord, but I also don’t jam it down anybody’s throat,” said Wahlberg on TODAY. “But it’s better to never have known God than to deny God. I mean, that’s not a good look. That’s not a good look.”

Wahlberg made similar comments stating that “faith is the most important thing.” The SPENCER CONFIDENTIAL actor also said his “faith puts things in perspective.”
