Candace Cameron Bure said the waterworks flowed both before and during her daughter Natasha’s wedding to former Disney Channel star Bradley Steven Perry.
In a recent podcast episode on “I Choose Me” with Jennie Garth, Bure opened up about the nostalgic event.
“It was everything they hoped it would be. It’s a bit surreal when your kids get married. And it’s so emotional,” she said.
“A lot of words and tears are said and shed, so when you get to the actual day of the ceremony… of course I cried, but I feel like I got, like, the really ugly tears out before the wedding.”
But there was one moment that got her good — the first look.
“It was neat because Natasha and Bradley did their first look before the wedding … and I was there for the moment, and that’s when I lost it,” Bure said. “I was a total mess because they were just so sweet.”
Bure previously posted a celebratory announcement to her Instagram account upon her daughter’s wedding.
“We introduce to you Mr. And Mrs. Perry 🥂!! A huge congratulations to the sweetest @bradleysperry and our beautiful daughter @natashabure on the celebration of their marriage 💍!” she began in the post. “We couldn’t have asked for a kinder man than Bradley to love and care for our girl 🥹. Natasha, you are radiant inside and out and are already the best wife to your beloved. My heart swells with happiness for you two. We love you both so much. May God bless all the days of your lives together ❤️❤️❤️”
People in the comment section expressed congratulations over the special event. “Congratulations to your whole family! So beautiful! 💕” one person said. Another person added, “Oh my goodness what JOY!!! Congratulations to Natasha and the whole fam! You all look stunning!”
In a previous conversation with PEOPLE, Natasha said, “It’s almost impossible to put into words what our wedding truly feels like. It’s surreal and overwhelming in all the best ways. There is nothing better than marrying your best friend.”
She continued, “This day is also so much more than just a celebration of our love, it’s a reminder of how blessed we are to be surrounded by the most incredible family and friends — people who have cheered us on, shaped us, and stood by us.”
Candace Cameron Bure also noted a sweet coincidence in her daughter’s wedding. Natasha had Lori Loughlin’s daughter Olivia in her bridal party. Loughlin played alongside Bure on the 90’s sitcom FULL HOUSE.
“First it was DJ & Aunt Becky. Then it was me & Lori. And now it’s Natasha & Olivia. Here’s to generations of friendship, laughter, and love!❤️💫” Bure shared in a post last month.
Big milestones in life can be bittersweet, but it’s so special when those we love are by our side.
