Podcaster Joe Rogan shared his interest in the Christian faith and explained why he believes that there is credibility to Jesus and His teachings.

“I have started going to church every now and again. I love it,” Rogan said. “It’s a bunch of people that are going to try to make their lives better. They’re trying to be a better person and they’re trying to read and analyze passages in the Bible. I’m really interested in what these people were trying to say because I don’t think it’s nothing.”

“I think there’s more to it. I think it’s history, but I think it’s a confusing history. It’s a confusing history because it was a long time ago, and it’s people telling things in an oral tradition, then writing things down in a language that you don’t understand, in the context of a culture that you don’t understand…” Rogan continued. “I think there’s something to it. And there’s a reason why it resonates with people and Christianity, in particular, is the most fascinating to me because there’s this one person that everybody agrees existed that somehow or another had the best plan for how a human being should interact with each other and behave and was the best example of it.”

It is extremely encouraging to see Rogan discuss Christianity in a positive way, especially given the platform that he has garnered, reaching tens of millions of people every week.

Rogan has previously discussed his interest in Christianity and especially this year has been particularly open to the faith. He has also expressed the hypocrisy of many people who believe in theories that have less credibility than Jesus’ existence, yet mock people of faith for their historically-grounded beliefs.

It’s funny, because people will be incredulous about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, but yet, they’re convinced that the entire universe was smaller than a head of a pin and that for no reason that anyone has adequately explained to me, instantaneously became everything? OK,” Rogan said on a podcast episode in May.

Despite his new openness to Christianity, it may take a significant amount of time for Rogan to fully become a part of the faith, as he grew up in a Christian household but was put off from religion after a negative experience.

“I grew up; I went to Catholic school when I was very young for first grade. And I had a really bad experience there. And I was like, ‘Religion is b********,’” he previously explained.

Nonetheless, even if Rogan is yet to fully become a Christian, it is amazing to see him promote the faith on his podcast and help his millions of followers start to consider a life with Jesus, rather than brush it off as so many people often do.
