Apologist Clarifies Crucial Christian Doctrine on Joe Rogan’s Podcast

A Christian apologist corrected podcast host Joe Rogan’s unique (and false) thoughts on Jesus’ resurrection.
In a recent discussion with Christian apologist Wesley Huff, Rogan proposed the idea that maybe Jesus didn’t die on the cross.
“Rogan floated an unconventional theory, suggesting that Jesus may not have died on the cross but instead survived and later appeared to His disciples,” Relevant Magazine reported. “To support his idea, Rogan referenced a ‘a very, very bizarre case’ from last year where a man declared dead regained consciousness just before his organs were to be harvested. Rogan argued this raised questions about the reliability of death declarations, particularly in ancient times.”
However, Huff assured Rogan that this would’ve been impossible, and even if a scenario like this were to happen, “The trauma would have been overwhelming — physically and visibly.”
“He emphasized the precision of Roman crucifixion practices, designed explicitly to ensure death, and argued that even if someone miraculously survived, they wouldn’t have been physically capable of convincing others they had risen from the dead,” Relevant added.
Huff also offered apologetic support for the validity of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.
“How do you explain it going from 11 scared disciples in an upper room to [them] being willing to go out and die for the proclamation that you believe that Jesus rose from the dead, and you saw Him, and you touched Him, and you ate with Him. You know He wasn’t a ghost. You actually ate fish with the resurrected Jesus,” he said, per Crosswalk Headlines.

Users commented in excitement over the podcast.
“Just finished listening. So good. Thank you for representing Christ well. I’m excited for AC and the ministry you all are doing. Praying for you my friend,” one user said. Another person added, “The subtle move of this whether intentional or not was genius ‘What is truth?’ Joe thinks about this statement for months…Then Joe reads John 14:6…Seeds are planted.”
Rogan was raised Roman Catholic but currently claims to be agnostic. However, he has had multiple Christians on his podcast and has shown an interest in learning more about the faith.
