They’re doing the project for a Christian couple, Scott and Tami, who started a church and have a ministry for the poor in Atlanta. Led by the series host, Danielle Brooks, the team is also going to landscape the front and back yard. The inside of the house has no flooring. So, before the team can remodel the inside and insert furniture, cabinets or appliances, it must finish the flooring.

INSTANT DREAM HOME: “Four Years in One Day” shows a team of 200 people completing the entire inside and exterior of a 2000 square foot house in 12 hours for a Christian couple with a church and ministry to the poor and needy in Atlanta. Part of a TV series streaming on Netflix, INSTANT DREAM HOME: “Four Years in One Day” is a lively, inspiring episode, with strong Christian content and values promoting God, Jesus, faith, church, ministry, prayer, helping others, gratitude, family, and hope, but it’s marred by 18 light profanities.

The episode opens with a brief explanation of the project and planning. Led by Danielle Brooks, the INSTANT DREAM HOME team has 12 hours to complete the unfinished interior of a 2,000-square-foot house owned by two Christians, Scott and Tami, who started a church and a mission to help the poor and needy in the inner city of Atlanta, Georgia. A contractor they had hired skipped out on them years ago, and they just got too busy to get a replacement. The home’s interior has no flooring. So, before the team can insert cabinets and appliances in the kitchen and furniture in the dining room, living room, bathroom, and two bedrooms, the team must finish the flooring. Also, the team is going to paint the exterior of the house and landscape the front and back yards, plus finish a little porch area in the back.

Putting in the flooring puts the team behind by half an hour or so. However, the biggest problem is that a large cherry tree in the back yard is rotting, and the team only has a few hours to get a large excavator to tear down the tree.

The last episode of the first season, INSTANT DREAM HOME: “Four Years in One Day” is a lively, inspiring episode. It’s thoroughly entertaining watching the project come together and seeing the joy and gratitude on the faces of the Christian couple, Scott and Tami, and their little boy, Ezekiel, as they see what a great job the team did.
