CeCe Winans Celebrates Sharing Faith With Younger Generations in New Book

Gospel legend Cece Winans is sharing her story in a new book, “Believe For It: Passing on Faith to the Next Generation.”
The book details the events in Winans’ life that led to her strong Christian faith today. The singer links her stories together with the message that everyone has a responsibility to pass on their faith to their family and friends.
“We all have been influenced by those who came before us,” Winans said. “You don’t have to be related by blood to have a spiritual influence on someone’s life.”
“Believe For It” is also the name of Winans’ 2021 live album. The singer just kicked off a 21-city tour earlier this month, with shows planned in Pittsburgh, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

Gospel legend and Movieguide® Awards Gala performer CeCe Winans recently welcomed her first grandchild. With the addition came Winans’ deeper understanding for God’s love for us.
“God is a God of generations,” Winans said.
“When you become a parent, you get a real revelation of God’s love,” she continued. “When you become a grandparent, you get another surge of life. You understand the importance of everything in the world and how it will impact that little one. I am so honored to sing gospel music. I’m so, so blessed that I truly believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And I’m excited about God being a God of generations; that He keeps being faithful. I know my grandson Wyatt will be just fine.”
Winans says she wants to instill her grandson a deep love of the Father.
“The greatest thing my parents gave me was my faith, to teach me the Word of God, and to introduce me to Jesus. The greatest thing I’ve given my children is my faith. And I just want to continue to share that; the power of the Word of God, the power of the love of God, and we’re getting the chance to do that on generations,” Winans said.
Winans previously stressed the importance of family and family values when she performed at the Movieguide® Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry in 2018.
I don’t think I have words to express how important it is,” she said of including family values in movies. “It is so important. Family is so important. I think that is always the greatest problem in our nation. Everything stems from the family. And, to have movies and entertainment that influences the family in a positive way is crucial, to not just me but to really the whole world.”
