Jamie Foxx Thanks God, Family Who ‘Saved My Life’ During Health Scare

Jamie Foxx has credited his family for helping him overcome an undisclosed medical issue that led to his hospitalization earlier this year.
“I went through something that I thought I would never, ever go through,” he told fans in an Instagram video. “I know a lot of people were wanting to hear updates, but to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that.”
Foxx then shouted out his sister, Deidra Dixon, and his daughter Corinne, saying they “saved my life.”
“So [thanks] to them, and to God, to a lot of great medical people, I’m able to leave you this video,” he said. “I cannot tell you how great it feels to have your family kick in in such a way.”
Foxx praised his family for keeping his condition under wraps and protecting his privacy during such a difficult time.
“They protected me, and that’s what I hope everyone can have in moments like these,” he shared.
In another Instagram post, Foxx celebrated Dixon’s birthday with another heartfelt message.
“Without you I would not be here,” the actor wrote. “Had you not made the decisions that you made I would’ve lost my life…. I love you forever and ever happy birthday sis.”
As Foxx continues to recover, his family members are hoping he takes it easy and doesn’t jump back into work just yet.
“Everyone is relieved to see him back on his feet, but some of his loved ones are concerned,” a source told Us Weekly. “They’re cautioning him not to push himself too hard. He’s lost a lot of weight, and it will take time for him to regain his physical strength, so they want him to go easy.”

Fox News Digital reported Porscha Coleman who spoke with Entertainment Tonight and stated, “I’ve talked to people very close to Foxx, [he] is doing well.”
“One thing about Jamie is that he’s always valued his privacy,” she continued. “If you’ve noticed, Jamie Foxx has always been on the low,” she added.
