Brandon Lake Drops ‘Coat Of Many Colors’ Album

Brandon Lake, Christian artist and five-time Grammy Award winner, has released his new 16-track album, “Coat of Many Colors.”
“Penned by Lake with Jonathan Smith, Steven Furtick, Jacob Boyles, Andrew Cherry and Leeland Mooring, the new song teases the many ‘colors’ of worship and styles showcased on the full record,” CCM Magazine wrote.
The album cover shows Lake wearing his own coat of colors, which was designed by Greg Lauren, the nephew of Ralph Lauren.
“In many ways, we are all wrapped in a coat of many colors – we are clothed in the Father’s love and in his pride for us, and everyone one of us are his favorite,” Lake explained. “We see in the story of Joseph’s life that he was misunderstood, he had dreams that got him in trouble, and he had to go through the process of trusting his dreams and being faithful to God. Joseph went from a pit to a palace, and this album explores that theme heavily.”
Lake recently completed his tour with artist Phil Wickham and will join Lauren Daigle on her “Kaleidoscope” tour, followed by his “Coat of Many Colors” tour.
In an Instagram post, Brandon Lake shared details of his album.
“COAT OF MANY COLORS IS OUT Y’ALL🎉 Which song off the record is your favorite so far?!” he asked.
The album includes “1.) COAT OF MANY COLORS, 2.) COUNT ‘EM, 3.) PRAISE YOU ANYWHERE, 4.) MIRACLE CHILD, 5.) TEAR OFF THE ROOF, 6.) ADOPTION SONG , 7.) GOD IS NOT AGAINST ME, 8.) KIDS, 9.) NOTHING NEW, 10.) MORE (ft. @benjaminwilliamhastings), 11.) PALM OF YOUR HAND, 12.) TURNAROUND, 13.) I PROPHESY, 14.) JESUS BE PRAISED, 15.) HOLY ARE YOU LORD, 16.) COUNTRY PSALM.”
The track “Tear off the Roof” was released previously and has been featured in the hit TV Series THE CHOSEN. Movieguide® reported:
“The song is about the amazing faith portrayed by followers of Christ. It serves as an acknowledgment of God’s power. The song’s new music video features scenes from the Biblical hit TV series THE CHOSEN.”
Lake said, “I can’t think of a better storyteller of Jesus than THE CHOSEN TV series, so it made so much sense to team up and have their help in sharing the story of this song, which is based off of Mark Chapter 2 and Luke Chapter 8.
