Tom Brady, Jayson Tatum and Aaron Judge Surprise Make-A-Wish Kids

NFL star Tom Brady, NBA player Jayson Tatum and the MLB’s Aaron Judge joined forces with the Make-A-Wish foundation to give back to nine kids.
The three athletes gave nine kids with critical illnesses a chance to play catch or shoot some baskets with their heroes.
“I’m speechless. This is what it’s all about, you know. We play the game, you know, for a lot of different reasons, but getting the chance to inspire some youth and spend some time with some kids is so special,” Judge told Good Morning America.
As a kid, Brady remembers what it was like for him to meet professional athletes.
“They were really excited and really fun,” Brady said. “A lot like I was when I was their age. I was a San Francisco Giant bat boy one time, and I got to sit on the bench during pre-game, and I literally didn’t say a word. My dad was like, ‘Say something!’ And I was like, you know, not saying a word. So sometimes you get in there and then some of the kids, you know, come in and they’re just really ready to go and others, they just take a little time to warm up.”
For one special child, Brady was able to make all of his dreams come true with just a high five and a hug.
“Francis wanted a hug and a high five, and that was the first thing we did when he walked in the door,” Brady stated.
Francis added that the best part of his day was the hug and high five and that “He [Brady] signed my football and two jerseys.”
“Some of these young children are going through a lot and their families are supporting them,” Brady explained. “While they’re going through these difficult moments were trying to bring some joy and happiness to their life. For the rest of my life, I want to give back to people who have their own dreams and wishes and I want to see people achieve what they want to achieve in life.”
Brady took to his social media to share the special moments he had with the kids. Brady wrote, “Thanks to @makeawishamerica and @fanatics for hosting such a beautiful event filled with happiness and joy yesterday. These kids are the real heroes and having a chance to spend time with them and their families is something I’ll always be grateful for.”
“PS: There were some real wide receivers out there on the court…better hands than me for sure,” Brady added.

New York Yankee right fielder Aaron Judge recently set a new American League record for the most home runs in a single season after he hit his 62nd ball over the fence on Oct. 4, 2022…
Judge also posts scripture and encouraging messages on his Twitter account for his nearly 500K followers.
According to the Daily Citizen, Judge’s life verse is 2 Corinthians 5:7.
“It’s one of my favorite Bible verses,” Judge said. “[I] try to live my life by it, and always trust the Man above and what He’s got in store for us. We never know what’s around the corner, but if we have faith in Him, He will lead us in the right direction.”
