Kathie Lee Gifford Sings Sweet Song to Grandson: ‘Love of Jesus in My Heart’

By Movieguide® Contributor

TV personality and host Kathie Lee Gifford loves being a grandmother!

In a recent Instagram post, she shared a video of herself holding her grandson on her lap and singing the Christian children’s song “Down in My Heart” to him.

“I’m happy, so very happy. I have the love of Jesus in my heart. And I’m so happy, so very happy,” Gifford sings.

“This is happiness!” she captioned in the post.

Her followers were touched by the sweet video.

“Thanks be to God Kathie is helping teach her Grandbabies about Jesus!” one user commented.

“There is nothing better than sharing the love of Jesus with our grandchildren,” another user said. “Love hearing your beautiful voice too.”

Gifford, 70, has two of her own children and previously hinted at her desire for grandkids.

“One day, the Lord might bless us with little tiny feet running around…that’s in God’s hands.”

PEOPLE reported, “She got her wish with the births of her grandsons — Frank in 2022 and Finn and Ford in 2023. According to Kathie Lee, it’s ‘heaven’ having the little ones around, and her children are proud of the grandmother she’s become.”

Her daughter Cassidy expressed her thankfulness for Gifford’s relationship with her son.

“Laughing through life with you is one of my greatest blessings. Beyond thankful for the woman, believer and mother you are,” Cassidy wrote for her mom’s 70th birthday in 2023. “And the bubbe you are to little Finn!”

Gifford frequently speaks about the joy she finds in God. Movieguide® previously reported:

Gifford said that she relies on the joy and purpose that only faith in God could give someone.

“Every single day, if I wake up and I have a pulse, I have a purpose,” Gifford said. “Life does beat you down, loss beats you down, hardship takes its toll, illness destroys your body. But Jesus said it’s not gonna be easy. He said, in this world, you will have trouble. But rejoice. Take heart. I have overcome the world. And because I have, I will empower you to overcome your world. My joy is non-negotiable,” Gifford said.

“I want to be purposeful, every day of my life, every moment of it. God is not the enemy of joy. He is the creator of joy. We got a lot to rejoice about. You want to fly? You want to soar? You want to dream big dreams and see them come true? You need to partner with the right person. Only Jesus. Only Jesus.”
