‘A Blessing In Your Life’: Tasha Cobbs Leonard Announces First Book

By Movieguide® Contributor

Grammy-award-winning singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard just announced her first book.

“I feel so many emotions!” Cobbs Leonard told PEOPLE of the book, titled “Do It Anyway: Don’t Give Up Before It Gets Good.” “Excitement, anxiety, hope and an overwhelming gratefulness for the opportunity to share my story.”

“Do It Anyway” will tell Cobbs Leonard’s story, from her early days in the music industry to her struggles with infertility and depression. She will also share how her faith has guided her through the ups and downs of her life.

“My expectation is that this book full of testimonies will give others the courage they need to overcome and to Do It Anyway!” she concluded.

In an Instagram post announcing the book, Cobbs Leonard told followers, “I challenge you to Do It Anyway! I know that [the book is] going to be a blessing in your life.”

“Do It Anyway” will also tell the story of how Cobbs Leonard and husband Kenneth adopted their son Asher in 2022.

“Because of You I have found a love that cannot be explained,” Cobbs Leonard posted on Instagram at the time. “You are our gift! You are the manifestation of God’s Kindness, Favor and Mercy towards us! You are an expression of God’s infinite Grace. I will live every day to love you more! To cultivate and prepare you for the greatness ahead of you! You are God’s best and we are so honored that he chose you for us to choose! Mommy Loves you to Infinity and BEYOND!”

Movieguide® previously reported on how Cobbs Leonard is spreading her faith in the music industry:

Christian artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard recently shared her prayers for Beyoncé as she deals with the huge reaction surrounding her upcoming tour.

Beyoncé announced the dates for her Renaissance World Tour, which will take place across Europe and North America. Fans are already complaining about how difficult it will be to get tickets, and Leonard decided to take some time to pray for the superstar.

Leonard wrote, “I pray that she would feel your presence very near to her today. I pray that your presence would fill any void and bring her unspeakable joy. Let her home be a sanctuary for you to meet with her.”

She continued her prayer, writing that she hopes Beyoncé finds “rest and safety” with God and that her family “would grow strong together.”

“Make every burden light,” Leonard went on. “Cover and protect her from all evil, all harm and all sickness disease. Cover her heart and her mind from any thoughts or ideals that are not good or perfect.”

Leonard’s post is a reminder that as Christians, we must pray for the people around us — regardless of how we may feel about them personally.
