‘Praise God!’: Former Victoria Secret Model Nicole Weider Celebrates Progress in Cancer Treatment

Former model Nicole Weider is praising God as she continues to undergo treatment for Stage 4 breast cancer.
“Chemo #4 today fighting cancer!!” she wrote in an Instagram post. “My tumor markers have gone down over 75% praise God!! Your prayers and mine are working! The night before chemo I always get a little nervous but as crazy as this sounds I get excited too because I know it’s working and killing the cancer.”
Weider continued, “Somebody also said ‘you can’t believe in God AND medicine’ which to me is so crazy because God literally made humans to achieve incredible things and create medicine that saves lives, so of course! Ultimately God is the healer, the decider of life but taking medicine and going to the doctor doesn’t go against God.”
“I get my new pet scan next week to see if all the cancer is gone or what’s left so please keep me in your prayers thank you!” she wrote. “I slept most of the day the medication makes me exhausted but I pray I have energy tomorrow!”
The former model shared her diagnosis last year. Movieguide® previously reported:
Ex-Victoria’s Secret model Nicole Weider, who gave up her career to follow God, just announced that she has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
“Please pray for me and over me,” Weider asked her followers in an Instagram post on Monday. “I noticed a large lump had grown under my left breast (ignored it for a while) but then, today, as I felt it was enlarged, I knew I needed to see a doctor immediately.”
The doctor found two cancerous lumps and told her she had breast cancer. In an update on Tuesday, Weider let followers know that there are also two cancerous masses in her liver, and because the cancer is in three places, it is stage 4. Weider underwent a biopsy on Tuesday so that the type of cancer can be determined.
Weider has been sharing her treatment process on social media.
A recent post reads, “Giving my cancer battle to God every step of the way. I never thought I would be facing cancer at my age but God knew and I believe He has a plan for me that all things will work out for my good even though I can’t see it yet. Your prayers and kind words mean so much to me and give me so much encouragement! By the grace of God the cancer is down to 1/5th of what it was when I was diagnosed a couple months ago. Praise Jesus!”
She also spoke about how her faith is seeing her through this hard time in an interview with CBN.
“What’s so interesting about it is, even though I have this diagnosis, I have felt God’s love like never before,” Weider explained. “Almost like I feel God comforting me in such a big way.”
She continued, “It’s been all these little God things that have happened to me that I’m like, ‘I feel God’s presence throughout this process,’” she said. “And I’m just seeing God’s love, like, pop up in all these different ways, showing me that I’m not alone. I know this is happening for a reason. God is with me. I trust Him.”
