Lakers Center Trey Jemison Shares What God Laid on his Heart

Los Angeles Lakers center Trey Jemison dropped some great words of wisdom in his latest reel on Instagram.
“Last night, I was walking home, and I was just giving God thanks for all he’s done in my life, now he continues to do in my life,” Jemison began. “And while I was walking, God put on my heart about a time where I was about to give up on doing these Bible studies, on chasing my dream and so many other things, and he sent somebody into my life named Karen Malone, who told me that, ‘The devil isn’t worried about your right now he’s worried about your future.'”
Jemison then used the Bible verse John 10:10 to back up what he was talking about.
The verse reads:
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
“It’s easy to kill something when it’s in seed form, for those who know, and those who maybe plant a garden, or when you have weeds you can just pull those out the ground, you know it’s easy just to kill a plant early, because it’s a seed form and the roots aren’t deep,” the center said. “When you have a big old oak tree and this huge tree, it’s hard to cut that tree down. You have to call a whole company to go cut that tree down and cut down in pieces. Even that, it’s hard to do.
“And what I what it taught me was that in the beginning stages, the devil’s going to try to attack you so many more times because he wants you to quit now,” Jemison continued. “If you quit right now, in the beginning stages, you’ll never get to the big blessing and the big miracle God has for you.
“Because once you get to the point where you’ve been standing in your faith for a long time, you’ve been chasing God for a long time, you’ve been doing your Bible studies, you’ve been surrendering your life, you got some roots laid then. So, when the storms do come you ain’t gonna be shaking,” the Lakers star concluded.
