For the second year in a row, Disney+’s animated hit BLUEY secured the spot as the most-streamed television title in the United States, according to Nielsen’s 2025 year-end streaming rankings.
The Australian children’s series amassed 45.2 billion minutes of viewing across the year.
“Animated Australian import BLUEY is the returning champion this year, ranking as the overall most-watched streaming title of the year and most-watched acquired title,” Nielsen reported. “BLUEY’s notably short episodes, which average just eight minutes in length, further underscore just how much the show resonates with kids (who make up more than half the audience) and families.”
Nielsen crowned BLUEY the winner of its ARTEY Awards.
GREY’S ANATOMY took second place. It had 40.9 billion minutes of viewing time on Netflix and Hulu.

BLUEY has remained among the top 10 streaming shows for years now, and its success comes as no surprise, but what exactly sets the show about an Australian Blue Heeler family apart from other children’s content?
“I know I’m not alone when I declare that BLUEY is the best kids TV show out there,” Stephanie Lowe, the family editor for Good to Know, said. “The messaging hits way more than it misses, and everything they do is so relatable. Me and my mum friends have a ‘wwbpd’ mantra (‘what would Bluey’s parents do’) whenever we’re stuck with a parenting reaction.”
“BLUEY is gorgeous because we see the full richness of life’s ups and downs,” Helen Hazell-English, a registered counselor, chimed in. “Challenging and complex experiences are explicitly explored — for example, Aunt Brandy’s infertility in ‘Onesies’, teaching Bingo to use her big girl bark in ‘Yoga Ball’ — this is all about consent, assertiveness, self-esteem, and boundaries. BLUEY is my favourite children’s TV show because it is so honest and wholehearted in its depiction of family life and of contemporary parents doing their best.”
The BLUEY Instagram account thanked fans for their continued love for the show.
People in the comment section were nothing short of supportive.
“Watch BLUEY be top series of the year again next year!” one person said. “I’m always going to binge watch BLUEY.” Another fan added, “For the best reasons!! So happy to see such a genuine creation be recognized. Thankful to all involved.”
Movieguide®’s ratings for BLUEY have been only positive as well.
One review from Season 3 reads, “Episode 3.50 of BLUEY is a fun and funny episode with lots of action. As usual, the voices are really cute and adorable. Even better, the episode ends with a heartwarming, uplifting message about family, parents, children, and siblings. Eventually, Bandit gives one of Bingo’s pretend children a nice pro-family speech. Bandit’s little speech influences Bluey to help her father take care of her sister’s pretend children. This episode is a lovely conclusion to Season Three of BLUEY.”
Movieguide® even nominated episodes 348 and 349 for Teddy Bear Awards®.
It’s no surprise that BLUEY keeps dominating streaming!
