BACHELOR alum Sean Lowe just celebrated 12 years of marriage with wife Catherine Lowe!
“12 years ago today, I married my best friend. Best decision I’ve ever made,” he captioned an Instagram post celebrating the milestone. “She’s the most selfless, loving person I’ve ever met and I thank God I get to be on the receiving end of all of it. And it’s a bonus that she occasionally lets me touch her.”
Catherine also posted some video clips of the couple’s time on THE BACHELOR, writing, “I’ve been obsessed with you since Day 1…Happy 12 year wedding anniversary @seanloweksu! I’m exactly where I want to be — snowed in, playing scrabble and watching a movie with you and our precious children.”

The couple, who share sons Samuel and Isaiah and daughter Mia, spoke to PEOPLE two years ago about how they make their marriage work.
“We like to be playful, we like to laugh together, and a date like this one [their tenth anniversary] is way more to us than just a romantic date. We like to have fun all of the time. We’re just a couple of kids,” Sean told the outlet.
He also shared a family Valentine’s Day tradition — “We have an annual tradition where we probably grab dinner, the two of us, on a day that isn’t Valentine’s Day…and our family tradition is on the 14th. We make pizzas at home with the kids, but this beats a dinner any day.”
In a 2024 interview with E! News, Sean spoke further about the challenges and rewards of marriage.
“Anyone who’s been married knows it takes work,” he explained. “And so for us, it’s just about committing. And part of that is trying to be the best partner you can for your spouse.”
Sean said the couple have a shared commitment of “just trying to be the best spouse that we can possibly be.”
“I get it wrong a lot, believe me,” he admitted. “We’re both really good at forgiving each other and forgiving quickly. I’m very thankful that I have a wife that’s like, ‘Hey, Babe, I know you’ve got a good heart. You didn’t mean to hurt my feelings, but you did. But I forgive you. Let’s move on.’”
Sean also spoke about the enjoyment they both get out of being parents, saying, “We have so much fun with our kids. We’re very proud of them. They’re all smart, funny and respectful most of the time. But we just have fun with them.”
The Lowes’ commitment to each other and their family is what has made their marriage stand strong over the past 12 years, and beyond!
