Paramount Pictures has signed on to distribute THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE 3 around the world on Jan. 29, 2027.
Sony distributed the last two movies, which made about $500 million combined at the global box office, according to Deadline.
John Rice directs, and Thurop Van Orman writes the screenplay and executive produces with Toru Nakahara. DESPICABLE ME’s John Cohen, Dan Chuba and Carala Conner produce.
“We’re very excited to be partnering with Paramount Pictures and extremely proud of our incredible cast,” Cohen said. “Not only do we have Jason, Josh, Rachel and Danny returning to voice their fantastic characters, but they’re surrounded by an all-star ensemble of comedic talent. These are some of the funniest people out there today, and we’re so thrilled to have them all on board.”
The third movie will feature the same familiar voices of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom and Danny McBride in their roles as Red, Chuck, Silver and Bomb. New cast includes Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Lily James, Emma Myers, Marcello Hernandez, Walker Scobell, Sam Richardson, Psalm West, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser and James Austin Johnson.
Composer Heitor Pereira will return to score the third movie, as he did for the first two.

The Angry Birds franchise is built off of a popular mobile game that launched in 2009. It’s still going strong 16 years later with over five billion total downloads across its multiple Angry Birds games, according to its developer, Rovio.

With a mix of returning voices, fresh talent and an experienced crew, the movie is guaranteed to bring another round of comedic, action-packed adventures.
