Kathie Lee Gifford shared her first photo with her new granddaughter Rosie Mae, who was born to her daughter Cassidy on June 3.
“Beyond blessed by the birth of my first granddaughter. Rosie Mae you are so loved 🕊️🤍,” Gifford shared on Instagram along with a photo of her granddaughter clutching her thumb.
Rosie Mae is Gifford’s fourth grandchild total but her first granddaughter to join the family. Gifford previously shared her excitement about the birth of her granddaughter in a statement to TODAY.
“I am overjoyed at the beautiful birth of my first granddaughter, Miss Rosie MAE,” Gifford said. “She is beyond gorgeous just like her Mama and we are praising God for the birth and the health of both Mama and the baby.”
Cassidy shared a similar post on Instagram when she announced her baby had been born healthy.
“Rosie Mae Wierda! Born at 9:59 am on 6/03/2025. You are a million prayers answered, Rosie girl. We love you so much. 1 Samuel 1:27,” Cassidy wrote on Instagram. The Bible verse she shared reads: “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him.”

2025 is set to be a major year for the Gifford clan, as Gifford’s daughter-in-law Erika is expecting her third child at the end of the year.
“✨ Gifford, party of cinco 🥹. 🫧 Our little blessing on the way was prayed for, dreamed of, and is already so deeply loved. 20 weeks in and we can’t wait to meet the newest member of our crew.🩵🩷,” Erika shared at the beginning of May.
Gifford has been a grandparent since her first grandson, Frankie, was born in May 2022. She loves this new stage of her life, supporting her children as they embark on their own parenthood journeys.
“It’s just beautiful,” Gifford said about being a grandparent. “Everybody says it is. I FaceTime with [my grandkids] every day and [they are] just a wonderment…[Frankie] is extraordinary. And everybody thinks their own grandchild is the best in the world, so I won’t say anything other than they’re right, their grandchild is.”
It is touching to see just how much joy Gifford finds in being a grandparent. Praise the Lord that her daughter Cassidy had an uneventful delivery and was able to bring Rosie Mae into the world where she will be loved by her entire family.
