Clean comedian Nate Bargatze might have just landed his second feature film gig.
According to Deadline, Amazon MGM Studios’ United Artists and Scott Stuber just acquired a pitch for a new movie called FANTASY CAMP, with the funnyman eyeing the leading role.
“A group of friends at a make-or-break moment in their lives, as they head to Dwyane Wade’s fantasy camp in Miami to relive their basketball dreams. But what starts as fun becomes a battle for pride, purpose, and one last win,” a synopsis reads.
The project will be produced in partnership with Bargatze’s company Nateland Entertainment along with 59th & Prairie Entertainment and 2.0 Entertainment.
Scott Stuber, former head of film for Netflix, teamed up with Amazon MGM Studios last year to revive United Artists, which is “a languishing label that once operated under the auspice of MGM,” per Variety. The agreement requires Stuber to release several films yearly.
“With his proven track record of delivering global hits and an eye towards theatrical fare, Scott’s expertise and vision align perfectly with our film strategy,” Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, said of the partnership.
If all goes according to plan, FANTASY CAMP will mark Bargatze’s second foray onto the big screen. Currently, he’s getting ready to release THE BREADWINNER on March 13, 2026.
“It’s going to be hard to make something and then have to wait to see it,” Bargatze told Relevant. “I’m used to immediate reactions. Plus, I don’t know the first thing about making a movie.”
THE BREADWINNER follows Bargatze’s character’s family as his “supermom wife, Katie, lands a deal on SHARK TANK. Subsequently, the lifelong breadwinner of the family becomes a stay-at-home dad and quickly realizes he’s in way over his head,” a synopsis of the movie reads, per Deadline.
Through his Nateland Entertainment brand, Bargatze strives to bring his fans clean entertainment.
His website states, “Nateland brings comedy and community together with trusted, feel-good entertainment – from stand-up to sports, music specials to one-of-a-kind experiences for all ages.”

In addition to these movie projects, Bargatze also released him book titled Big Dumb Eyes, where he “talks about life as a non-genius” and “reflects on such heady topics as his irrational passion for Vandy football and the mysterious origins of sushi.”
The synopsis adds, “BIG DUMB EYES is full of heart. It will make readers laugh out loud and nod in recognition, but it probably won’t make them think too much.”
Whether on screen, on stage or on the page, Bargatze certainly knows how to keep us laughing.
