Christian artist Danny Gokey took to Instagram to encourage his followers through his song “We All Need Jesus.”
“How do we create REAL change in the world? 🌎” Gokey asked in the caption. “We gotta recognize the humanity in each & every person around us! At the end of the day, no one is perfect, and we ALL need Jesus! 🙏 Start there and find a way to share His love with someone who needs it today…and that’s everyone!”
In the video accompanying the caption, the AMERICAN IDOL alum sang:
We’re so quick to point a finger
And judge things from our point of view
The things that we say, the trouble it makes
It hurts you and it hurts me too
This is such a fallen world we live in
It’s really not the way it’s supposed to be
What if we could see each other different
It’d probably change everything
The chorus emphasizes each person’s desperate state without Christ:
We’re all broken people, don’t we all need Jesus?
Every moment of our lives, twenty-four, three-six-five
Our human is equal, don’t we all have our weaknеss? Hey-hey
Everybody makеs mistakes, everybody needs that grace
We all need Jesus
Gokey was a top three finalist on AMERICAN IDOL during the show’s eighth season and soon rose to fame, having multiple top releases. Some of these include “Haven’t Seen it Yet,” “Rise,” “Love God Love People” and “Hope in Front of Me.”

His fans showed appreciation in the comment section for the song.
“I just get chills every time I hear this song. Thanks, Danny, for bringing light to whoever hears your song!!” one person said. Another fan added, “Amen. We all need Jesus. Beautiful song. 🎶”
Gokey’s song “We All Need Jesus” is a great reminder of something God reveals to us in the Bible.
Isaiah 53:6 tells us, “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
While we all have moments when we think we’re better than others, God’s word reminds us that before Him, we’re all equally deserving of punishment because of our sins.
Thankfully, because He loves us so much, He sent His son, Jesus, to die for us and take the penalty of sin we deserve. When we accept that gift, we can live in freedom, knowing our future is secure in Christ.
Let Gokey’s song be a reminder to share the hope you have in Christ with those you encounter today.
