Dancing stars Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert are expecting their first little one.
“We can’t believe the biggest thing to happen to us could be so small ♥️,” the couple captioned a joint video post on July 22.
In the video, Hough walks to Erbert, and the two embrace over a scenic view. They flash sonogram photos at the camera as they smile.
Hough told E! News last September, “We definitely want to have a family eventually. We’ll see what’s in the cards, what’s on the horizon. Little dancing children running around.”
“There wasn’t a rush on [thinking about kids] until we just met Val and Jenna Chmerkovskiy’s baby, and that was when it was kinda like, ‘Should we get on this now?” Erbert said when the couple was engaged in 2023.
“It was pretty special, and actually it was cool ’cause Val, he was like, ‘Bro, for somebody who creates, this will be your ultimate creation,'” Hough said.
Just a year and a half ago, Erbert was hospitalized for an emergency craniectomy after a performance. She had to have pressure relieved inside her head, and the doctors removed a piece of her skull which they later had to replace after her head healed for a little while, ABC News reported.
Hough called Erbert his “beautiful miracle,” adding he was “impressed by her strength.”
Erbert said Hough was her “rock throughout it all.”
In his Instagram story on Wednesday, Hough shared he was happy to have Erbert in his videos again. In a video, Erbert stood in the background while Hough admired her and called her “cute.”

He also added “soon to be Daddy” on his Instagram bio.
It’s safe to say that Erbert and Hough are in a happy state. The couple has been very lovey-dovey lately. They recently traveled to Greece, sharing lots of photos and videos.
“I love you, I love you, I love you ♥️ Greece with my love was absolute perfection. (And the cats are a major bonus 😻)” Erbert wrote to Hough in a caption of a post from their trip.
They’ve also been sharing a lot of funny videos, like a reaction video of Erbert happy that Hough said she could get another pet and a video of them in matching bathrobes, lounging outside joking about how they like being together.
They haven’t announced when the baby’s due date is, but we hope the excited parents continue to enjoy their sweet pregnancy bliss.
