Sadie Robertson Huff, who has been open about her struggles with anxiety in the past, shared how she dealt with worry as she prepared to bring the newest addition to her family, Kit Carroway Huff, into the world.
“I woke up the morning of the 1st, and had so much peace,” Huff posted along with a video of the birth. “I read several verses I had taped on my wall over the last few months of reading through Psalms, worshiped, and Christian and I prayed.”
As the moment came closer to delivery, though, her feelings started to change.
“But, as soon as I got into that room to get fully prepped, I felt all of that anxiety creeping in. I felt it settle in my chest like anxiety tends to do,” she continued.
Even after being assured that what she was going through was normal, she still “couldn’t shake the weight on my chest.”
The mama of three said that when the Elevation song “All of a Sudden” played on her phone, she meditated on the lyrics, “I breathe you in, I breathe you in. When you come all of the sudden, I am strong again.”
“Still feeling the weight on my chest, but listening intently to the words being sung over me, that I have listened to almost every quiet time I had with the Lord over the last few months, and remembering the peaceful mornings as I sat and prayed for this little girl I was about to hold in my arms for the first time,” Huff said.
Huff recalled that when her husband Christian came into the room to be with her, she felt “a wave of peace.”
“I have never felt so still. So held. So at peace,” Huff said. “It was like a heavenly bubble. Like a warm blanket on my soul.”
She continued in her post that even though there is pain and fear surrounding childbirth, the outcome far outweighs the struggles.
“You also experience the presence of God in a way that is so extraordinary. You’re literally in the moment of a miracle,” the influencer wrote. “A new life born. The start of a legacy being carried on. It’s incredible.”

If Christian Huff didn’t feel outnumbered with girl power already, he probably will now as Kit is his and Sadie third daughter. They have two older daughters, Honey, 4, and Haven, 2.
The couple announced in February news of the growing clan with a carousel of picture of the sonogram of little Kit along with shots of the Huffs all smiles and kisses.
“Our hearts are so full another little love joining the Huff family,” Sadie posted.
Sadie made the birth announcement funny enough on the same day as DUCK DYNASTY: THE REVIVAL was airing an episode with their gender-reveal party.
“And while we are having a reveal party… Meet Kit Carroway Huff,” Sadie posted.
Congratulations to the Huff family on their new bundle of joy! Or as Psalm 127:3 calls “a heritage from the Lord.”
