Danica McKellar might be known for her roles in THE WONDER YEARS, or her popular Christmas movies, but the actress spends just as much time sharing her faith. Here are five times McKellar used her platform to engage with and encourage new Christians.

DISCOVERING GOD’S JOY

In a 2022 Instagram Live, McKellar discussed her relationship with faith, telling fans, “I have been going to church and finding a lot of amazing love and peace and purpose, and it’s blowing my mind. I always had this other preconceived notion of what that was when people talked about Jesus and the Lord. I just didn’t quite get it. I feel a lot of joy in my heart and I always like to share that when I can with you guys.”

The actress reminded her followers that God’s “omnipresent love is there for you whenever you want it, whenever you’re ready.”

FINDING HER FAITH

McKellar has been open about her own faith journey, thanking pal Candace Cameron Bure for sharing the “beautiful gift” of God with her — a gift she now wants to share with others.

“I’ve found my faith, and it’s been an amazing life changer,” she told Fox News. “It’s just been a beautiful, beautiful gift, and it feels so good, and I want everyone to have that feeling.”

FEELING GOD’S LOVE

“Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and as you breathe in, feel God’s love and energy,” McKellar wrote in one Instagram post. “Breathe it in and feel wrapped in it. And know that this universal love is available to everyone at all times if we seek it out, no matter what our history is with organized religion. That love and comfort is *for you.*”

BIBLE READING CHALLENGE

The HAVE WE MET THIS CHRISTMAS? star typically chronicles her yearly challenge to read the Bible in full on social media, urging her followers to do the same and updating them on the thoughts she has about scripture.

“I’m reading the Bible all the way through this year. That is my goal and it’s happening,” McKellar said in a 2023 livestream, recommending fans listen to audio versions of the Bible while they perform other tasks.

She explained, “My life can’t get too busy to do it because I get to listen to it while I’m doing things that I would be doing anyway. And it’s just wonderful.”

HER FAITH JOURNEY

In a post celebrating the one-year anniversary of her faith journey, McKellar remarked on the “profound effect” her relationship with God has had on her life.

“That JOY that bubbles up without explanation other than it extends from connection to the Holy Trinity,” she told followers. “I wish that profound feeling of love and peace for each and every one of you.”
