Florida Gators basketball guard AJ Brown knows that “God is good all the time” as he celebrates his new life in Christ through baptism.
The athlete recently shared several photos from his baptism, surrounded by family and friends.
“I grew up with my family laying a strong foundation in Christ, and I’m grateful for the way my parents and grandparents kept Jesus at the center of our home,” he wrote in the post’s caption. “But in college, I drifted and started living for myself, chasing things that left me empty. I believed I could keep doing what I wanted and change later, not realizing I was taking His grace for granted. Like it says in Ecclesiastes, life without God is truly meaningless, but life with God at the center, gives all of life meaning!”

“On July 13th, 2025, Jesus met me right where I was and changed everything. I realized that following Him means fully surrendering my life, not just knowing about Him,” Brown continued.
Brown then referenced John 14:6, which reads, “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
“I finally understood that He is the only one who can truly fill the void in my heart. Since then, I’ve been learning to walk in humility, aligning my life with His will, and living in a way that brings Him glory,” he reflected.
He sees God’s providence in his move from Miami of Ohio to Florida.
“Transferring to Florida wasn’t just about basketball, it was God placing an incredible, faith-filled community in my life,” the 6’4″ guard declared. “Through discipleship, worship, and doing life with others who are pursuing Jesus, my faith has grown in ways I never experienced before. I’ve seen how God uses people to strengthen and encourage you exactly when you need it most.”
Throughout his first year with the Gators, Brown leaned on Romans 8:28, which says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
“No matter the ups and downs, I have peace knowing He is in control and His plan is greater than mine,” Brown emphasized.
“Choosing to be baptized on April 20th, 2026, has been the most meaningful and best decision of my life,” he concluded. “It’s a declaration that I’m no longer living for myself, but fully for Him. Not thinking of things on this earth but of things in Heaven! I’m walking in freedom, trusting His plan, and excited for everything He has ahead. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good!”
Praise God for the work He is doing in Brown’s life.
