THE BLIND SIDE star Quinton Aaron opened up about a near-death encounter where he saw Jesus.
“I flatlined, and I guess doctors ran into work on me,” he told Fox News anchor and former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany when she asked about the experience. “And this had happened a couple times, but it was the second time that it happened that I saw just as I look up like going by, that’s when I see Him.”
ChurchLeaders reported that Aaron spent three months in the hospital after suffering a spinal stroke, which was the result an infection that traveled through his blood into his spine.
“I couldn’t see the front of His face, but I see like [His] profile, so I saw His skin complexion. He had long white hair and a long white robe, and it was like, I couldn’t see his feet, but there was like a golden glow that was coming from beneath the robe,” Aaron described.
“He was, like, floating past. So as He’s floating past, and I’m like, you know, I look for a couple seconds, and I put my head back down. As I put my head back down, and I’m trying to get myself together. The robe here appears right in front of me. There’s like this golden light shining from beneath the robe,” he recalled.
“As I’m looking, I feel Him place His hands on my back, exactly where the pain was. As I felt the pain leave my body, I started to shout,” Aaron said. “And I was like, ‘Oh my,’ I said, ‘Hallelujah, thank you, Jesus.’ I started shouting because I knew what that was. I knew what He was, who He was, and it wasn’t registering to me that I was dead, and I still feel them there today.”
“It felt like all the pain was taken away, and from that moment on, I knew it was healed,” he said. “When I woke back up after a few seconds, I see doctors walking out of the room, and then I’m in the room by myself, and I start crying like…I can’t talk because I’m intubated, but I know it just happened to me. Anyway, I said, ‘God just healed me.’”
Upon his hospitalization in January, his wife Margarita Aaron said, “He’s a fighter; he’s a very strong fighter, and you know, he is making progress day by day, and I believe God’s got him, and he believes God’s got him.”
Aaron starred in 2009’s THE BLIND SIDE, which detailed the true story of Michael Oher, a man with a rough childhood who flourished and became a football legend after a family took him in.
Both Aaron’s on-screen story and real life encounter with Jesus are true reminders of the grace and mercy of God.
