Guy Fieri’s always said “Welcome to Flavortown” — but now, he really means it.

He’s bringing “Flavortown” to life in a new series, FLAVORTOWN FOOD FIGHT, that premieres on the Food Network on March 4, Parade reported.

“Long referred to but never before seen, the mythical and delicious Flavortown will be the setting for this multi-round, culinary competition,” the network said in a press release.

Each episode will have three chefs competing across an array of different eateries, including street food carts, diners and fancier joints. Someone can win up to $20,000 per episode, and the winning chef returns the following week to face two new challenges.

Deadline noted the contestants will encounter menu-based challenges such as “Mexican Street Food” or “Five Star Fine Dining.”

“For the first time in television history, we’re opening the gates of Flavortown and inviting some of America’s most talented chefs to showcase their skills in a never-ending list of off-the-hook restaurants that you’ll only find here,” Fieri said in a statement. “We’ve been building out this universe for years, and I’m stoked to finally invite everybody in!”

The mayor of Flavortown, Fieri of course, will announce every episode’s theme alongside his son, Hunter Fieri. There will be two guest judges each week.

Discovery first announced the series in May last year under the name GUY’S FLAVORTOWN GAMES.

Here is the full description: “Two fearless chefs accept Guy’s invitation to the epic restaurant row at the heart of Flavortown Square. Their goal: to prove they have the cooking cred to prepare a winning dish in any type of kitchen imaginable—from an awesome smashburger in the cramped food truck to a Michelin-worthy dinner in the state-of-the-art kitchen of a fine dining restaurant.”

“The chef who makes the best dish in each round gets to choose their own culinary adventure by selecting the unique restaurant and cuisine they’ll have to tackle next. In the town that Guy built, choosing the right restaurant can change your fortune.”

Currently, Fieri is recovering from a freak accident in December that tore a muscle in his leg.

“[I] slipped down a set of steps and one foot went forward and the other foot got caught on the threshold,” said the food star. “So, you know, it extended me out. I looked like I was probably doing the splits, but when my right leg compressed into itself, the giveaway point, and the doctor said he’s never seen — you know, in 20 years — he hasn’t seen a tear in the biggest, thickest part of your quad in half. Yeah, it sucked.”

The leg isn’t keeping him down though. On Thursday, he shared photos of himself on his mayor’s podium. He’s ready to go to Flavortown.
