Anne Wilson looks to the heavens for her third album, Stars.
The 12-track album will come out on Oct. 17. Her title track single came out last week with a new music video.
The song was written by Wilson, Matthew West and Jeff Pardo, and it talks about her former dream of being an astronaut, the death of her older brother and God’s providence in her story as an artist, The Christian Beat reported.
“Dreamers never stop dreaming, believers keep on believing…I was still made for the stars,” some of the lyrics to “Stars” read.
“This song is the heart behind my new album and the first glimpse into this next chapter,” Wilson said of “Stars” last month. “The same God who hung the stars in the sky holds every detail of your life in His hands.”
“I used to stare up at my ceiling and imagine a sky full of stars. This song was written from a place of realizing that while some dreams don’t come true — God can take our broken plans and write an even better story. It’s about holding on, daring to dream again, and trusting His bigger purpose,” the country singer said on Instagram this month.

Wilson brings her art of storytelling into all of her tracks on the album. Collaborators include Trannie Anderson, Blake Pendergrass, Emily Weisband and Andy Albert.

Wilson recently passed two billion career streams and received an RIAA Gold Certification for her single, “Sunday Sermons.”
Her performance at tornado recovery benefit in her home state of Kentucky raised over $100k for recovery efforts.
She’s also been working on a 40-day devotional, Hey Girl, which arrives Sept. 30. It’s inspired by her song of the same name.
“I wrote this devotional to remind teen girls who they are in Jesus — chosen, loved, and created with a purpose,” Wilson said last month. If you’ve ever struggled to believe that, these words are for you. My very first devotional is officially available to pre-order everywhere books are sold and I can’t wait for you to dive in!!”
Part of the devotional’s description reads, “This devotional is your go-to guide for building confidence, deepening your faith, and becoming the woman God created you to be. Whether you’re in middle school, high school, or navigating the wild ride of college, Hey Girl will inspire you to walk boldly in truth and live free in His victory.”
Wilson will introduce her new album on Oct. 18 in Nashville at The Pinnacle. She will hit eight other locations on her brief Stars tour, which will end on Nov. 23.
