‘Time to Write!’: Sadie Robertson Huff Picks Up Project She Started Last Year

Sadie Robertson Huff is getting ready to write another book!

“Today I am picking up a book I started on last November…” she wrote in an Instagram post, joking, “Okay, let’s rewind for a minute !!!”

Huff explained that last fall, she “got fired up about a message God put on my heart” and met with her publishers and editor to talk about the project.

“I jokingly said, ‘this book will be on time unless I find out I am pregnant or something,’” she continued, adding that she began writing right away, with no worries about writer’s block.

Huff continued, “Wellllll….December rolls around, and we start filming DUCK DYNASTY. After the first day of filming, to my surprise, I found out I am pregnant! So, I decided to stop writing.”

The reality star shared that the reason she put the book on hold was because of the experience she had working on a previous book while also adjusting to becoming a first-time mom to daughter Honey, explaining that it “definitely affected my mental health and my ability to be fully present with Hon, and it affected the book I was writing as well.”

Huff put the project down but now feels ready to start writing again in “the sweetness of this season overflowing.”

“This year has given content for the book that it really would have been missing had I rushed the process,” she wrote. “We live in a day when everyone pushes you to do things the fastest, but going faster doesn’t always mean better. Sometimes that comes with a cost. I’m saying that from my own experiences, and this is me learning.”

Huff thanked her publishers for their patience, then told fans, “Now, TIME TO WRITE!”

This isn’t the only exciting news Huff has to share. The DUCK DYNASTY star recently appeared on a Times Square billboard to promote the YouVersion Bible app for Global Bible Month.

“No other reason I’d want to be on a billboard in Times Square!! ‘For YOUR name and renown are the desire of our souls!’” she wrote in an Instagram post.

This year marks the first-ever Global Bible Month, put on by YouVersion, Glorify and Hallow.

“Global Bible Month is about one thing: helping people everywhere engage with Him in a way that feels personal and possible. When we stand together in that mission, we’re advancing His Kingdom and sharing His love with the world,” Glorify Founder and CEO, Henry Costa, said in a statement.
