More Detail:
A VERY JONAS CHRISTMAS MOVIE tells a hilarious story that keeps viewers engaged throughout. The pace is perfect with a flow that doesn’t break at any point. One of the highlights of the movie is the cast, who do a great job bouncing off each other. The three Jonas brothers, in particular, do a fantastic job, creating a dynamic that is both believable and funny. Since this movie is also a musical, the brothers sing and dance, which highlights their talents. Some scenes in the movie are very random and often weird, don’t add to the plot in any meaningful way; however, while random, they are usually comedic. Some of the CGI in the movie is rough at times and stands out.
Life isn’t going great for the Jonas brothers. They don’t get along like they used to, and the joy of traveling and performing together has lost its fun. One of the brothers meets a man at a bar on the evening before heading back to North America and shares their hardships with him. The man, unbeknownst to him, has magical powers and is determined to help the brothers mend their attitudes toward one another. After the Jonas brother leaves, the man devises a plan.
As the Jonas Brothers leave the next day, they discover their plane has mysteriously become inoperable and must find another flight. However, there are no available flights in the area except for a single one departing from Paris. The brothers hop on a train and head towards Paris. The mysterious stranger, however, makes sure the train never arrives in Paris. These chaotic obstacles go on as the brothers try time and time again to find various ways to make it out of Europe, but to no avail. Finally, when they fight their way out of Europe, something happens that changes everything. They must face their grievances and work together before it is too late, not just to get back to North America, but also to survive.
A VERY JONAS CHRISTMAS movie contains moral elements, including the importance of family and reconciliation. The brothers work together to resolve their grievances and build a healthier relationship. The point of the movie, first and foremost, is to reconcile with one another and to reunite with their families for Christmas after being on the road for six months. While the movie has a positive message, it contains a few glaring negatives, including light Pagan elements when a character uses magic to help the brother reconcile, upper male nudity, alcohol use, profanity, and crass comments.
